Tiger Eye™ High-Reliability Micro Rugged Systems
Samtec’s Tiger Eye™ interconnect systems are designed for micro rugged, high-reliability, high-cycle applications. Tiger Eye™ is a multi-finger, heat-treated, Beryllium Copper (BeCu) contact designed for rugged environments. The superior spring properties of Beryllium Copper make it ideal for high mating cycle applications. Tiger Eye™ is available in a variety of connector interfaces. Samtec's SEARAY™ products are the industry's largest offering of high speed, high density open-pin-field arrays. The 1.27 mm pitch design features Samtec's rugged, signal integrity optimized Edge Rate® contacts and up to 560 single-ended I/Os or 140 differential pairs. mPower® Ultra Micro Power System
Samtec's mPOWER® is the ultimate micro, high-power solution, offering incredible design flexibility. The system supports board-to-board, cable-to-board and cable-to-cable applications. Discrete wire cable assemblies simplify board layout and deliver power directly to active components in the system. The 2 mm pitch system is available with 2-10 power blades, 5-20 mm stack heights and provides 40% space savings compared to traditional power interconnects.
Edge Rate® Rugged, High-Speed Systems
Samtec’s Edge Rate® contact system is designed for high speed, high cycle applications. The surface of the Edge Rate® contact is milled creating a smooth mating surface area instead of a stamped contact that mates on a cut edge. This smooth mating surface reduces the wear tracks on the contact increasing the durability and cycle life of the contact system. It also lowers insertion and withdrawal forces allowing the connectors to be zippered when unmating.
